HELEN THOMAS is a veteran White House reporter who has been asking penetrating questions of every U.S. president since John F. Kennedy. She recently asked her first question to Barack Obama, and boy did it make him squirm and prevaricate. He never did answer it. It was a simple question. It could have been answered with one word. Helen Thomas knew the answer. Obama knew the answer. And Obama  knew Helen Thomas knew the answer. But the answer “could not be spoken,” and it wasn’t. The question was “Do you know of any country in the Middle East with nuclear weapons?”
