The US and British government are two of the biggest drug dealers in the world. That's not corruption, that's intent. Another observation, pot is not a drug, and should not be labled as a narcotic. To be put into the same category as opium, cocaine, meth etc. is simply wrong.
Nobody does drug dealing better then the CIA or the MI6. With over 7 million people in the US prison system and the majority there for drug related charges, saying the drug war is corrupt is to like saying the government is corrupt. Our government isn't corrupt, it's criminal. Saying that its corrupt gives one the impression it can or should be fixed. When have you ever heard Al Capone's organizaton described as being corrupt.
Nothing happens in Washington that isn't calculated or an accident. The Drug War is about controlling the masses, profits for a criminal select few and not about protecting our health. We have the FDA to do that! wink wink...
Pot is illegal because of competition, not because people get high off it. Prohibition did not work then or now- unless of course you think living in a police state is cool.... Excellent article btw...

Your congressmen are telling you exactly what you need to do, but you're naively ignoring it.

Send one of their campaigns a check for $15,000, and I absolutely guarantee that he/she/it will return your call...personally. $5,000 will also get a return call, but they won't be all that interested when they talk to you... unless you also start fundraising/campaigning for them. Less than $5,000 and you may only have a staffer return your call, but they'll still be "interested" in what you have to say. To a certain extent, anyway.
