Harry Elmer Barnes is such an outstanding but unsung figure in the field of American Historians, his efforts, publications, and commitment to truth so truly outstanding; to see here a couple of rubes pointing fingers at this websites publisher, demanding they answer for the late Barnes strikes me as ridiculous.
We presume you are unaware of Rassinier’s work, his impressive commitment to reliable data despite the perils of veracity in this area, that books (even those held by the establishment as next in line to the Bible) have editions, figures within them may change, and that sometimes peripheral events (The Great Holocaust Trial of Ernst Zundel in Canada) can serve to diminish credulity attached to even such a â€˜paragon’ as Hillberg.
We can only assume you are or just emergent from the establishments historical cave and are thus unfamiliar with the monumental contributions of the names herein beside Hillberg, or the shameful saga of persecution and suppression these authors (beside Hillberg) endured.
I know of no greater intellectual drama than that attached here to these names and can suggest that a great deal can be learned about contemporary ignorance by looking into these men. I do not mean to read unfriendly blurbs on Wikipedia but the words of these men-who speak for themselves-and whose integrity is embedded throughout.

The distortion of Hilberg’s figures, as Robert points out, is outrageous and easily checkable. I don’t know what the American Mercury thinks its pulling here.

After reading your comments I immediately went to Winklepedia.. and read their article on Hilberg and his book, “The Destruction….” and their number from the book was over 5 million European Jews killed during the Holocaust. Where does your 1 million number come from???
Upon what planet does the American Mercury dwell??.. perhaps Mercury???
