VANESSA Neubauer’s reading of The Fame of a Dead Man’s Deeds continues this week with Dr. William Pierce’s reactions to the claim that his work consists of just “racism and hate.” Dr. Pierce believes that it is wrong to pathologize a legitimate emotion that is appropriate in some circumstances. But he also adds that he spends very little of his time “hating,” and prefers to be doing constructive work for the future. He also contends that it is his detractors who are the ones truly consumed by that emotion, pointing out their passionate hatred of any expression of racial solidarity among Gentiles. How did Dr. Pierce, an American scientist and academic, come to found the most influential racial-nationalist organization in America? What were his goals? To what extent did he succeed? One of the most original — and controversial — thinkers of the 20th century was White nationalist, novelist, and founder of a new European religion, Cosmotheism, Dr. William L. Pierce.

The only real biography of Dr. Pierce is Professor Robert S. Griffin’s The Fame of a Dead Man’s Deeds, which was published in 2001. This week we continue with the 23rd chapter — “Racism and Hate” — of the book. Experience William Pierce, the writer, the philosopher, the radical — and the builder of an intentional White community in the mountains of West Virginia — just as Robert Griffin experienced him, by pressing the play button now.

“HEY, MAN,” said Homeless Jack, “you ever read that stuff that says White racism is genetic? You know, like we aware and awakened Whites have a gene for being racist.

“I’ve seen some Whites rush in after reading that who try to deny it as though such a gene is bad. Hell, it ain’t bad, man. It’s a good thing. You see, White racism is really a survival mechanism. It has Whites with this superior mutated gene quickly know who is like them and who isn’t and to do whatever is necessary to protect their genetic code, which also means protect themselves.

“So, anyway, if it’s true that there is a gene or genes for White racism (and, praise be to God or Nature if there is), and if we Whites, who call ourselves racialists or racists or White Nationalists or by a variety of other names or maybe we haven’t even decided on a name for what we believe, truly do have the gene, and if we then are outcasts from polite White society (a good thing, by damn) as a result, we will more than likely gravitate to other Whites with the same mutation and we will have children with some of them and those children will then have a good chance of inheriting two copies of the White racism gene and be super White racists and will continue on into the next generation avoiding miscegenation, and perhaps avoiding mating even with Whites who don’t have the mutation. It’s natural selection, man.

“See, it’s kind of like if you have certain color eyes and hair and if you marry someone with the same color eyes and hair as you, then your children are very likely to also have the same color eyes and hair. I mean this is just basic genetics and Mendelian inheritance. We don’t spring up from nothing. We are our genetic code and it is us.

“Marry or breed for the racist gene, man. It’s the way our genetic code and Whites will survive.

“Give it a few thousand years the way things are going now, and the descendants of today’s superior genetic White racists may be the only Whites left on the planet, and they will be a tribe that will continue to grow and expand, while the poor Whites in the past — which is our present — who weren’t lucky enough to get the White racist gene, and who eventually mixed with non-Whites, will be extinct and their descendants will no longer be White. Oh, I said a few thousand years, right? Well, our superior White racist gene can spread through our White population much, much faster if those of us with the superior White racist gene breed to our maximum.

“It is Nature’s way, man.

“Look at it this way, dodo birds apparently lacked a gene that would have had them be wary of organisms unlike themselves, so they would just walk right up to humans who would often grab and cook them. They are now extinct. Had they had the equivalent of our White racist gene, they’d more than likely still be around. Bye bye dodo and bye bye pitiful Whites who lack the racism gene and who practice miscegenation and birth control.

“But, what about how most Whites used to feel about race, say a hundred years, ago? Almost all Whites back then would be what today we call racist, right, man? So, how come today many Whites don’t still believe that racist stuff from the past?

“The answer may be that most Whites then, and also now, don’t have the superior White racist gene or maybe only have one copy of it so it isn’t fully expressed.

“Such Whites are to be pitied. They are like little children who don’t see danger with their own eyes. They’re also like dodos and like lemmings. They fall in with whatever is happening now in any age. They are weak seeds with weak minds and they’re easily conditioned to believe up is down or that black is white. Back a hundred years ago, many of them would have been racist in their surface beliefs — though not in their genetic codes — because that was what was happening then. Today, if those very same people were now alive, many would see nothing wrong with mating with Blacks and Asians and they’d be in favor of homosexuality and whatever is happening now.

“You see, man, people like that just follow the crowd. They lack the superior White racist gene. They are extinction walking. They are useless bags of fertilizer on two legs. They just easily fall in with whatever conditioning works best. In an age when everyone smoked cigarettes, these would be the true believers in smoking. In an age when few smoke cigarettes, these same people are the true believers in not smoking. And, it’s the same with everything else, man. They’re the low-IQ types who cluster around the center of the bell curve. It’s genetic with them, man. They have the living-half-awake gene.

“You see how they are, right, man? They’re like the best subjects for hypnotists. They can be easily convinced to not only accept things that are harmful for themselves, but to be the most vocal in favor of such things; or alternatively they can be convinced to go in just the opposite direction. It just depends on their conditioning. Their convictions are not genetic with them. They lack a true genetic basis for their world views and beliefs — unlike us with the White racist gene. Our views are genetically based and they’re solid. Conditioning to change our views doesn’t work any better on us than would conditioning to change the color of our eyes or hair. There is an authentic and physical reason for the way we think.

“Again, thank God or Nature for giving us the superior White racist gene. The future shall be ours. ”

NOW I’VE SEEN it all. The Stupid Party — er, I mean the Republican party — is threatening to sue one of its own candidates. According to the Associated Press today, Republican officialdom in New York’s Westchester County, a suburb of New York City,  is trying to remove Jim Russell from the ballot. They’re threatening to go to court if they have to. (ILLUSTRATION: Jim Russell, top, with co-workers.)

Westchester County Republican chairman Doug Colety says the party has “denounced” the Jim Russell campaign because of an allegedly “racist” (Colety’s word) essay Russell wrote in 2001.

Here’s the most incendiary passage Russell wrote:

“It has been demonstrated that finches raised by foster parents of a different species of finch will later exhibit a lifelong sexual attraction toward the alien species. One wonders how a child’s sexual imprinting mechanism is affected by forcible racial integration and near continual exposure to media stimuli promoting interracial contact. The most serious implication of human sexual imprinting for our genetic future is that it would establish the destructiveness of school integration, especially in the middle and high-school years. One can only wonder to what degree the advocates of school integration, such as former NAACP attorney Jack Greenberg, were conscious of this scientific concept. It also compounds the culpability of media moguls who deliberately popularize miscegenation in films directed toward adolescents and pre-adolescents. In the midst of this onslaught against our youth, parents need to be reminded that they have a natural obligation, as essential as providing food and shelter, to instill in their children an acceptance of appropriate ethnic boundaries for socialization and for marriage.”

Colety says if the party’s effort to remove its own man from the ballot aren’t successful, it might sponsor a write-in candidate. Meanwhile, Colety stated, they have “withdrawn all support” from Russell.

Salon.com’s “War Room” has also gone ballistic over Russell since yesterday.

Strange that the essay was out there for all to read in 2001, but it had no effect on Russell’s 2008 congressional campaign or his status then as a Republican. In fact, Russell did very well that year against an entrenched incumbent, Nita Lowey, who spent about $1.5 million on her campaign: In the year of the Obama juggernaut, Russell got a third of the vote even though he spent only $14,000. If that’s about the level of party support that is being “withdrawn” this year, maybe Russell really has nothing to worry about.

Russell said Tuesday that his essay has been “misinterpreted.” I think he’s right. There’s not the slightest bit of evidence that Russell hates anyone of any race or religion. None.

Now let me make one thing clear. I love and respect people of many different races. It’s stupid to hate anyone for his biology, which he or she isn’t responsible for anyway. I don’t like the fact that Russell said nothing in his essay about self-determination and freedom for people who aren’t white. And I believe in the spirit of simple human kindness and that there’s room on planet earth for all of God’s or Nature’s children. But I also believe that there’s room for different points of view — including Russell’s.

What Russell wrote in his essay isn’t any different in intent or morality from the many Black preachers who encourage their young folks to support — and marry within — the Black community. That doesn’t mean they hate anyone.

It’s no different from the rabbis who exhort their congregations to marry Jewish to preserve their traditions and peoplehood.

It’s no different from the folks who say Palestinians need their own state so they can have integrity as a people and their own government.

It’s no different from people who say Tibet needs its independence for the same reasons.

What Jim Russell did is way less radical than what Russell Means did when he declared independence for his American Indian Republic of Lakotah — and Means is usually praised.

The cowardice displayed by the Republican party in trashing their own candidate for expressing the kind of views on race and intermarriage that millions upon millions of whites and blacks and Asians and others express in their own living rooms is appalling. It is hypocritical in the extreme. And it diminishes our Republic and our tradition of self-government to enforce such “speech codes” and “thought codes” on candidates.

The billionaire-owned media are also to blame. It is their smear machines that have made certain opinions taboo — and political suicide to express.

Jim Russell deserves the respect and fair hearing that he’s apparently not going to get from the Stupid Party. Agree or disagree, he’s a courageous man for taking on the taboos of American political and social life. In politics, he’s one in a million. I salute him.
