A major edit was done on November 15-18, 2013. This edit was quickly undone, then the page was “protected”. Subsequent relevant comments on the talk page were also deleted, and that page was also “protected”. Do yourselves a favor, and go into the history of both the main article, as well as the talk page to see the deleted material, as well as the lame excuses the POV editors used to justify their obfuscation of relevant facts concerning this case.

I’m wondering if some kind of class action suit would be possible to address Wikipedia’s obvious efforts to deceive the public as to the facts surrounding the Leo Frank murder trial, as well as their actively pushing a 100 year old blood libel against the good people of Georgia.

“Hang the jew! (or we’ll hang you!)”

The piddling little source Dinnerstein gives for any such remark of so enormous moment and sensational significance which he has blasted from the housetops for decades is rather odd in a very peculiar respect:

If it were actually true… then wouldn’t every newspaper in the country have picked it up an run full speed with it until one couldn’t have found a two year old child who hadn’t heard about it?

Wouldn’t the high and mighty dream team of lawyers working for Frank have petitioned the court for a change of venue, and gotten him the hell out of Atlanta, like… pronto?

Wouldn’t Frank’s rich friends have hired more detectives… or perhaps a small army… to round up, and put down such a massive rebellion against both the law, and the law of common decency by these supposed drooling mobs of blood-thirsty creatures?

And wouldn’t all of this have found a way into… oh, I dunno… like… THE RECORD OF THE CASE OR SOMETHING?

Maybe the obscure source he gives was, back then, like the sensationalist tabloids sold at grocery store checkouts are now… only much less sophisticated.

And who said it? Produce him… or them. Well… we don’t know who said it, but you’ll just have to accept it.

Oh.

Maybe Bigfoot said it… or men from Mars… or the Ghost of Abraham Lincoln! Who knows?

But in the Wiki-world of “secondary source” spin, by God if Dinnerstein says it, it MUST be true, huh?

And every other dog just follows him along, sniffing at his tail, until there is a whole pack of Dinnersteins all lined up and barking endlessly, even howling at the moon about his sensational reports of “mob law”… “mob violence”… and “mob domination” in the trial of Leo Frank.

If Dinnerstein said the sun didn’t shine, I suppose we’d all be living in the dark.

Every time I think about the stolen records of the Leo Frank trial, I can just picture in my mind the image of fat little Dinnerstein, waddling out of the repository and slinking down the street with his most valuable secret treasure tucked away under his arm in a brown paper wrapper, all the while snickering to himself: “They’ll never be able to prove me wrong now!”

You know, one reads a lot about “reliable sources” here on the talk pages. Funny how it turns out that the ones who dedicate their lives to finding the truth; the ones who stand up for what is right and good; the ones who are REALLY reliable… are really… well… not so much… but the ones who actively push a certain agenda are cited… over… and over… and over… and over again.

Watson says it… but we can’t use it.

Dinnerstein says it… but doesn’t have to prove it.

Tell us, oh great scholar… where is this business about, “Hang the jew!” found in the original records of the trial?

Where are the motions for a change in venue?

Where are the police reports of people being threatened through the County Court windows by mobs of blood-thirsty race-crazed lunatics during this most solemn and supposed to be dignified event which was then known as the “Trial of the Century”?

Where are the formal warrants or even the “Be On the Lookout”‘s for the capture and arrest of the unruly perpetrators?

Where are the endless national newspaper stories alerting the public that the lawyers, judge, and jurors in the Frank case were actively being threatened with violence during this month long legal proceeding?

That’s what I thought. They don’t exist.

So much for this “reliable” source, huh?

He’s obviously a victim of circumstance.
